Verdelho is originally a Portuguese grape originating of the island Madeira. In recent years it has been used more and more to create incredibly interesting wines in the New World. It has been referred to as the wine for those tired of Chardonnays. This is a beautiful example on an unoaked wine with fresh, rich, tropical and spice characters, it's a great match with seafood and spicy Asian dishes.
Hope Estate is a relatively new family owned concern producing wines from their estate grown wineries in Hunter Vally, Donnybrook & Kyneton regions of Australia. Michael Hope gave up pharmacy in 1994 to do something he loved – to make wine. Since then the wines have continued to grow and gain national and international acclaim.
